Post by Gustav »

Here is another cheap patent long boots made by Lelli Kelly, its shafts were already a bit aged when l bought.

It was waterproof if water not above the ankle. The rubber soles were very insulating and were relatively easy to ignite.

As the boots become progressively more broken, they become more difficult to ignite.

Now the boots were fully holes.

My watercolour works were documented the change of the boots.

The right boot was in worse condition, with a big hole burned through the boot shaft.

In the 7th photo on the right of boot you are to burn there appears to be a buried object filled with rubbish and litter. It looks like a brown boot buried almost but not quite up to the top of the shaft but not quite. Is this the case or just a trick of the light?
If it is a buried boot what is it's story, did you put it there or some other entity?
Nice boot degrading and I like the art style pictures. Did you paint/draw them and what did you use to get the shiny but destructive look to them?

It just some trash were dumped by mass dumpers in the forest, I used watercolour to draw those pictures and a white pen for got the shiny.

It is very interesting to see how the poor boots disintegrate over time. Also nice to try and make out how much is due to wear and tear and how much is due to the fire.
You said they are harder to ignite as time goes on and they are more broken. Do you think this is due to shrinkage in the fire or just because they are worn, or both? I just imagine the poor boots muscles contracting in the fire like a person being burnt at the stake.
