Great news everyone!

I've finally had time and some rain to go out and give some mud to these pretty heels. I've also bought some boots that will soon get the treatment.

Despite the tear and repair not holding up, they still seem to be doing well. Quality heels. Id give them a rinse in a stream to get the mud off.

I should have specified that leather threads should be used... they are thicker and waxed so stronger than the leather itself once properly stitched on (I bought a roll for leather crafts a few years ago). :)

It is pretty handy if you are into shoe abuse 8)

I don't have that kind of threads at home, but I'll check if I have something stronger than just regular threads. I have to sit down and fix them since I've found a perfect spot for abuse :D
