Broken heels at abandoned apartment

Where is the heel? What to do with this? Not possible to wear...

It seems it is not unusual for people to find abandoned shoes at old houses.
My neighbour used to do home clearance after people moved on and left the houses full of crap. He said womens shoes were at nearly every one in various states of decay. Apparently unless they were an obvious renowned brand they would just get tossed into the garbage compactor they had to dispose of everything in, even if on the face of it they were new and unworn. It was just too much effort for the company to try and resell all the stuff they found, so shoes like many other things were simply crushed and squashed. He said it was very common to hear the cracking of high heels breaking off under the pressure, just part of the job and noone cared.

It would be a dream situation for us to save these

Ask the neighbour to save some heels for you.
Tell him that you know a girl that is interested in the abandoned and decayed women's shoes preferably heels for an exhibition and that she will pay a little for every rescued pair.

Ask him even more to take pictures of the finding situation as well so you could give the shoes together with the pictures to that artist girl you know.

A few years ago I was surfing Flickr for pictures of abandoned shoes and found one of a pair of half decayed hooker heels laying beside a large bed in an abandoned brothel in Spain. The picture was taken from a so called urban explorer who frequently visits lost places just to take pictures. Lookin at the poor hooker platform sandals which destined to die slowly made me horny as hell. I managed to get into contact with the urban explorer and asked her about the shoes and if she could rescue them for me. She told me that taking away things from lost places is against the oath of urban explorers. I offered her a few bucks and finally she agreed and I send the money to her pay pal.
Nothing happened for at least one year but then all of a sudden I received a parcel withe the shoes she got out of the brothel just before it was demolished. She had the sandals in the trunk of her car for a while and forgotten them.
I cleaned the shoes and glued them a little and because the sandals are my girlfriends size she is wearing them for me from time to time.
