In my opinion, the best way to destroy shoes is to burn them. You can see the burns of the leather shoes and their movement and contraction in agony when they are burned by fire.

Shredders are good but to me they seem to be way to quick usually eating a poor shoe or boot in a couple of seconds. True you can slow down the footage but you know that is artificial, also there is very little control unlike say in a compactor where you can make a shoe drag out it's agony or burning where you can direct the flames.
So I like seeing it but it is not my favourite way of destroying a shoe or boot.
Good video though nonetheless.
